Paul Schatz has become known by his "Turbula", the "Invertible
Cube", and the "Oloid" among experts and the greater public
alike. His inventions are based on highly significant principles of spatial
geometry discovered or re-discovered by him. Out of a living and "flowing
geometry" (R. Steiner), Paul Schatz managed to develop the first elements
of a new and ecological type of mechanical engineering.
"The first polysomatic forms - among others the cuboid, the inverted hall,
and the Oloid - are presented as elements of a novel approach to mechanical
engineering. For the new discoveries and concepts of geometric movement led
to an expansion of the basic elements of kinematics and from there to new
technical creations which are no longer destroying nature but submit to its
laws." (Paul Schatz)
